Where we started
Certua Group built a platform for embedding financial services, connecting insurers and reinsurers on one side with distributors on the other, developing data-driven products and new approaches to customer experience along the way. We saw the industry from every angle: products that took years to launch or change, outdated systems, fragmented supply chains, layers of friction at every point in an extraordinarily convoluted value chain.
What we learned
No amount of technical innovation can fix what is structurally broken. So we got our own licence and built the insurer ourselves.
What we built
Certua Life combines an insurance licence with the technology to embed life insurance into the digital services millions of people already use. No legacy systems. No fragmented supply chain. Products designed around the customer, not the insurer or the broker.
Our goal
We are independent. We answer to our customers and our partners. We are building a business that lasts, because the promise we make to families is a long-term one. That is a social good worth committing to, and it shapes everything we do.

CEO and Co-Founder
Founded Certua Group in 2016 after a decade working in asset management, investment and insurance technology. Responsible for strategy and growth.
Chief Operating Officer
Part of the founding team. Oversees operations, communications and insurance delivery across the group.

Leads finance across Certua Group and Certua Life. Former CFO and CEO of Sanlam Life and Pensions.

Responsible for Certua Life’s regulatory compliance framework, risk management and governance.
Co-Founder and Director
Serial insurance entrepreneur. Co-founded IPS (with Swiss Re), Quanis Group, the Surely Group and Certua. Previously co-founded Telecom Plus (FTSE 250) and served as a non-executive director of Nucleus Financial.

Former Managing Director at Willis Towers Watson. Brings deep experience in life insurance and corporate strategy to the Certua Life board.

Former Chief Executive of Covéa Insurance, where he led the business for nine years. Extensive experience in insurance, underwriting and carrier operations.

Our Name
A fusion of certus and tua: certain and yours. Life insurance exists to make one thing certain: when everything else is uncertain, the people who depend on you are looked after.
Our Symbol
In nature, hexagons are everywhere: honeycombs, snowflakes, carbon molecules, cell structures. The most efficient shape that exists, strong, adaptable, and designed to connect. Each one makes the structure around it stronger. That is the idea behind both the symbol and the company.
